GeoGebra in topics of Financial  Mathematics (lecture prepared by Vladimíra Petrášková (Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Education USB, invited speaker) and Roman Hašek):

Abstract:

The lecture deals with the use of GeoGebra in teaching of financial issues in basic and secondary schools and in teacher training courses at the

Faculty of Education. Its aim is to present selected examples of the utilization of GeoGebra to explain functionality of typical present-day

financial issues and to provide students with skills necessary to make a decision. To get a deeper insight into the laws of the functioning of such products the experimentation with the values of their variables is very

helpful. No doubt any spreadsheet would be an appropriate means to do it. However we aim in this paper to show that the use of GeoGebra thanks to

its unique features and tools can bring some added value to such experimentation
